## Monitoring and sources

### Will a competitor know I am monitoring them?

No. Rival Ads reads public advertising transparency sources. It does not notify the advertiser or request access to their ad account.

### What counts as one monitor?

One competitor on one channel. Tracking the same competitor on Meta and Google uses two monitor slots.

### Which channels are supported?

**Meta · Facebook & Instagram**, **Google · Search, Display & YouTube**, **TikTok · Commercial Content Library** and **LinkedIn · Ad Library**. See [Supported channels](/docs/channels).

### How many locations can I monitor?

Up to five per monitor. The first selected location is the default results filter. TikTok supports only locations covered by its public UK/EEA archive.

### How often are ads fetched?

Starter and Growth fetch weekly. Scale and Agency fetch every three days. A new monitor starts its first fetch immediately after creation.

### Can I fetch on demand?

Owners and admins can select **Sync now** on a monitor. Members cannot start a source check.

### Why does an ad lack copy, artwork or a destination?

Sources publish different fields, and individual records can be incomplete or restricted. Rival Ads shows available evidence and does not estimate missing values.

### Does Rival Ads show spend or conversions?

No. Public libraries generally do not publish reliable campaign spend, conversions or return on ad spend for ordinary commercial ads.

## Ad activity and intelligence

### What do Started, Stopped and Continued mean?

They describe an ad relative to the chosen Day, Week or Month period. Started began in the period, Stopped ended in the period, and Continued ran from before the period through it.

### Is a Continued ad a proven winner?

It is evidence that the advertiser kept it live, not proof of profitability. Use duration as a research signal and avoid claiming performance that the source does not publish.

### What is the difference between Creative intelligence and an AI strategy read?

**Creative intelligence** describes individual ads: hook, angle, persona, visual style, transcript and on-screen text. An **AI strategy read** summarizes weekly or monthly changes across the monitor.

### Why is Creative intelligence still reading?

New ads are read after they arrive. Hooks and angles usually appear a few minutes after a sync. Some media cannot be read fully, so not every field is guaranteed.

## Reports and sharing

### When are strategy reads prepared?

Monthly on Starter and Growth; weekly on Scale and Agency. **Reporting** shows the next date using the workspace timezone.

### Can I run a strategy read manually?

No. Reads are prepared automatically on the plan schedule.

### What does Download PDF report export?

The completed read currently selected under **Previous reads**.

### What does a Public report link show?

The latest completed read. It requires no account and can be password-protected, disabled or replaced with a new URL.

### How do report languages work?

**Report language** on the public link overrides the project’s **Client language**, which overrides workspace **Language**. English, Afrikaans, French, German, Polish, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Japanese, Turkish and Indonesian are supported. If that effective language changes, a matching strategy read is prepared automatically; historical reads keep their original language and the public link waits for the matching read. See [Languages & translated content](/docs/languages).

### Does changing my personal Language regenerate reports?

No. Personal **Language** changes your own dashboard and future emails. Client-facing content follows **Report language → Client language → Language** instead.

### Does Rival Ads translate competitor ad copy?

No. Source headlines, body copy, hooks, transcripts and on-screen text remain verbatim. The report explanation, recommendations, controls and labels use the selected language.

## Library

### Is the Library personal?

No. It is shared by the workspace, but each user only sees saved ads from monitors they can access.

### What happens when I delete a folder?

Its ads return to **Unsorted**. They are not removed from the Library.

### What is in Artwork + copy sheet?

The saved creative files plus CSV and Markdown sheets with available copy, intelligence, dates and source links.

## Team and email

### Do plans charge per teammate?

No. Every plan includes unlimited team members.

### What should I use for a client?

Invite them as a Member, create a project for them, and grant **Whole project** or **Specific monitors** access. See [Manage client access](/docs/manage-access).

### Who receives instant alerts and the weekly digest?

Only users who can access the relevant monitor. The first sync never sends an instant alert. The weekly digest is always on and is sent every Monday.

### Can one account belong to multiple workspaces?

Yes. Use **Switch workspace**. Each workspace has separate data, team, branding and billing.

## Branding and billing

### Which plan includes whitelabel?

Agency and AppSumo Tier 3. It includes brand identity across client-facing surfaces and a verified custom domain.

### Who can change Settings and billing?

Only the workspace Owner. Admins manage operational workspace areas; Members manage their own **Profile**.

### Is there a free plan?

No. Subscription plans include a 30-day free trial. AppSumo licenses are one-time purchases and do not include a trial.

### Where are invoices and cards managed?

The Owner opens **Settings → Billing** and selects **Manage payment & invoices**.
