# Library

> **Title:** Library — Rival Ads Docs
> **Description:** Use the shared Rival Ads swipe file to save ads, sort them into folders and download artwork with copy sheets.
> **Canonical URL:** https://www.rivalads.io/docs/library
> **Note:** This is the markdown twin of https://www.rivalads.io/docs/library. Append `.md` to any Rival Ads page URL to get markdown.

**Library** is the workspace’s shared swipe file. Every team member uses the same folders and saved-ad collection, while each person only sees saved ads from monitors they are allowed to access.

## Save an ad

From Gallery, Board or Table, select **Save** on an ad. The menu lets you:

- Save to **Library (no folder)**.
- Choose an existing folder.
- Enter **New folder** and select **Create folder and save**.

After saving, the action reads **Saved**. Open it again to move the ad or choose **Remove from library**.

## Browse the Library

Open **Library** from the dashboard navigation. Filters include:

- **All ads**.
- A named folder.
- **Unsorted** for saved ads with no folder.

Ads are grouped by competitor. This preserves source context while a folder can hold examples from many competitors.

## Manage folders

Select **New folder** when none exist or **Manage folders** when folders are available. Any workspace member can create and rename shared folders.

Deleting a folder does not delete its ads. The ads return to **Unsorted** and remain in the workspace Library.

Useful agency folders might be “Hooks”, “Offers”, “Testimonials” and “Client Q3 brief”. Use a client-specific folder when exports should contain only that client’s selected research.

## Download saved ads

Each competitor group provides:

- **Artwork** — a downloadable bundle of the saved creative files in the active folder filter.
- **Artwork + copy sheet** — artwork plus CSV and Markdown files containing available copy, hooks, angles, personas, calls to action, dates and source links.

Downloads reflect the selected folder or Unsorted filter. Workspace branding is used in the bundle name and copy sheet.

Copy-sheet headings and category labels use the monitor’s client-facing language: **Report language**, then project **Client language**, then workspace **Language**. Original ad copy, hooks, transcripts and on-screen text remain in the advertiser’s language. See [Languages & translated content](/docs/languages).

## Access and visibility

The Library does not bypass project permissions. If a Member loses access to a monitor, that monitor’s saved ads no longer appear for them. Owners and admins see saved ads across the workspace.

Follow [Build a swipe file](/docs/organize-library) for a complete workflow. See [Team, roles & access](/docs/team) for visibility rules.
