About Rival Ads

Competitor ad tracking, built and run by the person who answers your support email.

Why it exists

Every major ad platform publishes what advertisers are running — Meta's Ad Library, Google's Ads Transparency Center, TikTok's Commercial Content Library and LinkedIn's Ad Library. The data is public, but watching it is a job: creatives disappear when campaigns stop, nothing tells you what changed since last week, and checking four libraries for every competitor never actually happens.

Rival Ads turns that chore into a subscription. It fetches competitors' ads on a schedule, archives the real creatives and word-for-word copy before they vanish, diffs every account so you see what started, stopped and kept running, and has an AI strategist write the read a senior media buyer would. Marketing teams use it to watch their category; agencies run it whitelabelled as their own competitive-intel product.

Who builds it

Rival Ads is an independent, bootstrapped product founded and run by Chris Edington, who builds software for performance marketers and spends most weeks inside ad libraries working out why competitors' creatives outlast their own. There is no venture funding and no growth team — the product is funded by its subscribers, which keeps the incentives simple: it only grows if it keeps being worth paying for.

Support is handled by the same people who build the product. Write to support@rivalads.io or use the contact page and you reach someone who can actually fix the thing.

Principles

Sourced, never estimated

Every number comes from what the platforms actually publish. Where a platform publishes no spend, we show no spend — we don't dress a guess up as data.

Public data only

Everything is read from the ad libraries the platforms operate for transparency. No ad-account connections, no credentials, nothing a competitor didn't already publish.

Whitelabel means invisible

When an agency runs Rival Ads under its own brand, its clients never meet our name — not in the app, the emails, the reports or the domain.
