Getting started
Rival Ads tracks the ads your competitors run on Facebook, Instagram and the rest of Meta's network. This guide takes you from zero to your first weekly report in about five minutes.
1. Create your account and workspace
- Sign up with your work email and verify it from your inbox.
- Name your workspace — usually your company or agency name. Everything (monitors, teammates, billing, branding) lives inside the workspace.
- Pick a plan. Plans only differ by how many competitors you can monitor.
2. Add your first monitor
A monitor is one competitor Facebook page. From the dashboard hit Add monitor, give it a name, and paste any facebook.com link for the competitor — their page URL works, and their Ad Library URL works even better. See Setting up monitors for the details.
3. Let the first sync run
New monitors sync within the hour (admins can hit Sync now to skip the wait). After that, every monitor refreshes automatically once a week. A sync pulls every active ad on the page: creatives, exact copy, links, call-to-action, and more.
4. Read the board
Open a monitor to see the started / stopped / continued board — what changed over the last day, week or month — plus the AI strategy read that turns the raw diff into actions.
5. Invite your team
Head to Team to invite teammates. Admins see everything; members see only the monitors you assign them. Everyone gets the weekly digest for their own monitors — see Teams & roles.
No connections required
Rival Ads reads Meta's public Ad Library— the transparency surface Meta publishes for every active ad. You never connect a Facebook account, grant permissions, or touch a token. Your competitors have no way to know you're watching.
