Setting up monitors

A monitor tracks one competitor Facebook page. Your plan determines how many monitors your workspace can run at once.

Which URL should I paste?

Any facebook.com link that identifies the page works. In order of reliability:

  1. Their Ad Library URL (best) — go to facebook.com/ads/library, search the advertiser, open their page and copy the URL. It contains view_all_page_id=…, the page's numeric id, so resolution is instant and guaranteed.
  2. A numeric page URL — like facebook.com/123456789012345.
  3. A regular page URL — like facebook.com/orajewellery. We resolve the numeric id automatically on the first sync.

If resolution fails you'll see an error badge on the monitor — edit it and paste the Ad Library URL, which always works.

How syncing works

  • Every monitor fetches automatically once a week. Fetches are spread out with jitter so they don't cluster.
  • New monitors run their first sync within the hour.
  • Admins can trigger Sync now from the dashboard at any time.
  • A sync pulls every active ad on the page. Ads that disappear from the page are marked stopped with the time we noticed.
  • Creative images are archived to our storage during the sync — Meta's CDN links expire within hours, so we keep our own durable copy.

Editing, pausing and deleting

  • Edit changes the name or the page URL (URL changes re-resolve the page).
  • Pausing (setting a monitor inactive) stops weekly fetching but keeps history.
  • Deleting removes the monitor and its entire ad history permanently.

Sync errors

Errors are always visible — a red badge on the monitor card with the reason (e.g. page id could not be resolved, or the Ad Library page failed to load). Errors never take other monitors down, and the next weekly run retries automatically. If an error persists, see contactand we'll dig in.
