Rival Ads glossary
Product structure
Workspace: The billing, team, branding and data boundary. One account can belong to multiple workspaces.
Project: A group of monitors, usually for one client or brand. Project access can include current and future monitors.
Monitor: One competitor tracked on one channel. It has its own source, locations, ads, history, reports and alert setting.
Channel: One public advertising source: Meta, Google, TikTok or LinkedIn.
Location: A country queried at the source. A monitor supports up to five, with one default.
Sync / Sync now: A source check that imports current public ad information and compares it with existing history. Sync now lets an Owner or Admin request one on demand.
Ad activity
Ad activity: The Ads-tab area containing period controls, filters and Gallery, Board or Table.
Started: An ad that began within the selected Day, Week or Month.
Stopped: An ad that stopped within the selected period.
Continued: An ad that was already running before the period and continued through it.
Gallery: The visual browsing layout.
Board: The three-column Started, Stopped and Continued layout.
Table: The compact comparison layout.
New: A newly discovered ad that the current user has not yet reviewed.
Intelligence and reporting
Creative intelligence: An individual ad read containing available hook, angle, persona, visual style, transcript and on-screen text.
Hook: The opening idea or line used to capture attention.
Angle: The messaging approach, such as Offer, Social proof, Problem / solution or Product demo.
AI strategy read: A scheduled weekly or monthly summary of the monitor’s changes and recommended actions.
Previous reads: Completed historical strategy reads selectable in Reporting.
Download PDF report: An export of the selected completed strategy read.
Public report link: A no-account link to the latest completed read. It can have a password and can be revoked.
Report language: The language specifically selected for a public report link, or Inherit from project and workspace settings.
Client language: A project-level language for its client-facing reads, reports, PDFs and copy-sheet labels.
Personal language: A user’s dashboard and received-email language. Workspace default clears the personal override.
Effective client-facing language: The final result of Report language → Client language → Language. A strategy read is prepared again only when this result changes.
Library and email
Library: The workspace’s shared swipe file of saved ads.
Unsorted: Saved ads that are not in a folder.
Artwork + copy sheet: A Library download containing creative files plus CSV and Markdown details.
